The Taman Dayu Club supported many golf communities in East Java by presenting The Golf Community Challenge on 23rd January. A total of 16 golf communities participated in the tournament with a stroke play format.
Some communities even sent more than one team, such as PGMI (Pelindo) with three teams. D’Mitre (community of electrical contractors) and Malang Golf Gathering Club (MGGC) each sent two teams. The rest of the communities are PGS (Bank BNI), PGSG (Semen Gresik), Den (PT Dent), MMGC (Bank Mandiri), Surya Golf Club, AJS (Insurance), Tobacco HMS, Gapensi (REI—property association), Koja (Korean-Japan), and Taiwanese (Taiwan).

The team of D’Mitre II and Malang Golf Gathering Club (MGGC) I had such a tight competition that the committee had to do a recount to decide the winner. In the end, D’Mitre II was the Best Team with a total of 246 strokes. While MGGC I was second place after losing by five strokes at the recount. The D’Mitre II Captain, Layasi Salvator, wished that this event would be held more frequently.
At the prize giving session, management of The Taman Dayu Club changed the lobby of the club house to resemble a sport bar and lounge, with DJ Evelin from Bali, and dancers from Asia Plus.
